Tryout Checklist

PRIOR TO TRYOUTS...

✅ Attend the Mandatory Parent Meeting on 3/30 @ 6PM in the ACPHS Cafeteria

✅ Submit online tryout application

✅ Complete Athletic Clearance packet through Aktivate

✅ Physical dated after March 1st, 2026

✅ Upload physical & other documents through Aktivate

✅ Print & complete tryout contract (Bring to first day of tryouts)

TRYOUT CLINIC + EVALUATION ATTIRE

CHEER

✅ Cheer/athletic shoes

✅ White crew socks

✅ Fitted all-black clothing - no symbols or lettering

🚫 NO spaghetti straps, low-cut tops, crop tops, ACP Knightline Gear, jewelry, acrylic nails, piercings

✅ Hair MUST be secured in a slicked middle part mid-ponytail (hair expectations)

✅ Final Evaluations: Performance Makeup

POM

✅ Athletic shoes/turners

✅ White crew socks

Formal Material Evaluation

Athletes will perform the tryout material in front of a panel of qualified judges, in groups of 3-5.

IF YOU MAKE THE TEAM

Results will be posted HERE on Thursday, April 23rd, 2026 | After 8:00 PM

My child is a current ACPHS student, what Tryout Session should they attend?

Current ACPHS Students should attend our SPRING TRYOUTS.

Incoming Freshmen/Transfers can join the Spring Tryouts Mon-Wed to check out ACP Knightline. They will not be evaluated on Thursday's Final Evaluation Day.

My child is an incoming ACPHS freshman student, what Tryout Session should they attend?

Incoming ACPHS Students should attend our FALL TRYOUTS.

Can I attend my child's tryout clinic/evalutions to watch?

Tryouts are closed to all observers, including siblings & parents to maintain a focused environments and athlete confidentiality.

Will we learn the tryout material during the tryout clinic?

Applicants will receive the tryout material via email one week before tryouts. All material must be learned prior to Day 1.

What will I be evaluated on during the tryout clinic?

Cheer applicants will be evaluated on a dance, cheer, jumps, tumbling, & stunting.

Pom applicants will be evaulated on XYZ

Who is eligible for Varsity teams?

Returners can be cut
Seniors are only eligible for Varsity
Freshmen can only make Freshmen Spiritline
Sophomores & Juniors can make JV or Varsity
All athletes are considered for Game Day Comp team
All teams compete, and we have alternates
